The Sexual Harassment Case Against Dr. Ayman Attia and New York Internal Medicine, P.C. began on February 5, 2018, when an employee of filed a claim of sexual harassment at the New York State Division of Human Rights.

Dr. Ayman Attia is an Internal Medicine Specialist in Whitestone, NY.  Dr. Ayman Attia graduated from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Attia completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital as well as a Residency at New York Hospital Medical Center Queens. He is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

The New York State Division of Human Rights investigated claims of sexual harassment raised by a former employee of Dr. Ayman Attia and found “probable cause existed to believe that” New York Internal Medicine, P.C. and Dr. Ayman Attia engaged in discrimination and sexual harassment.  This meant that the case would go to an evidentiary hearing before an Administrative Law Judge (“ALJ”). 

The hearing was held on July 15 and July 16, 2019, and witnesses for both sides testified, including the victim and Dr. Ayman Attia.  After hearing the evidence, the ALJ ruled that Dr. Ayman Attia engaged in sexual harassment and required him and New York Internal Medicine, P.C. to pay damages to Complainant, her attorney, and the New York State Division of Human Rights.

After Dr. Ayman Attia and New York Internal Medicine, P.C. filed objections, the Commissioner of the New York State Division of Human Rights issued a Notice and Final Order requiring Dr. Ayman Attia and New York Internal Medicine, P.C. to pay more than $55,000 for sexual harassment.
